Michael J. Fox
I'm reading "Lucky Man" by Michael J. Fox, his autobiography about life before and after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up but I'm so glad I did. Fox does not use a ghostwriter as so many celebrities do. He wrote this himself and it is very well done. He documents his rise to stardom and his diagnosis with Parkinson's with great insight and a lot of humor. Perhaps more than anything else, it's a telling look into the nature of celebrity and how famous people run the risk of "magical thinking" - Fox's Parkinson's brought him back to reality and stopped his magical thinking and in the end his life became magical in a very real way, not in a plastic, Hollywood way.
I'm planning to start a review section in the next few months. If you have read a health-related book and want to let others know what you thought about it, drop me an email.

you are gay

Oh that is a great idea, Tracy. I would definitely have some books to review.
I'm going to see if the library has Michael J Fox's book yet. BTW, he's a hottie. I've had a crush on him ever since his "Family Ties" days ;)
