pain and collapse? how will I know?
When I had pain in my hip, I would use the heating pad religiously. I find myself using it now, but I get no pain. Maybe its habit? Maybe I am just cold. I do remember I would alternate from ice to heat. My hip felt better then.
Heating blanket also...I got that for Xmas, right before my surgery. It felt so good on my hip before surgery.

Hi again Star,this is where I was wondering what you'd say.I have fibromyalgia and have muscle pain bodywide about a 5-6 all the time. I sometimes shoot to a 12 (on a scale of 10) It's my left hip that is the absolute worst. like you wrote, with a high tolerance to pain, after 7 years of this disease, it's hard to recognize something painful that is something else than FMS. It' so easy to say it's FMS, because so much is.Now I'm wondering about this darn hip. It's been 3-6 months that it has become the worst source of pain. I used to take vicodin at night for my knees, but they don't hurt anymore and I take the vicodin in early afternoon for hip pain (8-10) and again at bedtime for hip pain (again 8-10 or higher).......what kind of doc dx's this? Judy, That is a great question. First of all I am sorry you are getting so much pain. That's not good at all! I cannot dx your symptoms...since all people are different but it wouldn't hurt to chat with your local Ortho. I posted a blog today that may help in your curiousity.
