Bronchitis
I've been taking a NAET break for a few weeks and coping with another round of bronchitis. I always think I can get rid of it myself but once again I gave up and went to the doctor for antibiotics. I wait too long every time because I don't want to take them again.
After a year of NAET I'm still having this lung problem. There are just too many things out there in the air to keep up with. I don't think you could ever clear them all. They are doing construction on a new housing development acress the street which could go on for a year, and that isn't helping matters.
I just have to find a way to keep this from happening. A little asthma and allergies and contant post nasal drip that goes down to my chest, and then the cough starts. I've been researching a lot of natural remedies and will not quit until I find one that works. I can't keep on the antibiotics merry-go-round. It's very discouraging.

I am 47 and have suffered from auto-immune diseases my whole life. I had years of sinus infections which increased in severity and frequency. They are now a rarity for me. The post-nasal drip was so horrible. I have had great success with using a home-made saline nasal wash twice a day (religiously!). If I feel a cold coming on, I will do it three or four times a day and that usually stops it. Lately, I have been using Ferrum Phos., a homeopathic remedy, asap when I feel the start of a cold or post-nasal mucous. This has eliminated the need to do the saline wash more that twice a day. It is really working very, very well. For the nasal wash, I keep a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon, a small (1/2 cup) baby food jar, a ceramic creamer type container with a spout for pouring,a container of non-iodized salt, and another of baking soda in a convenient place (near my toothbrush).
I let the water run until it is as hot as I can tolerate, then fill the creamer with two baby food jars of water (that totals 1 cup). I then add 1/4 teaspoon non-iodized salt and 1/8 teaspoon baking powder to the water, then stir with my finger. Then I pour a little into my hand and gently sniff the water into my nose, and then spit it out. I know this sounds awful, but it isn't, and it's the only way to get the post nasal mucous out. Repeat until the water is used up. You can also purchase a Neti Pot to pour the water in one nostril and let it drain out the other. After each one or two sniffs, I blow my nose into the sink to remove excess mucous. In the beginning you will see a lot of nasty mucous come out, but it will clear up as your sinuses get healthier.
Ultimately, the best cure is to stop the mucous production with NAET and proper diet. I have made tremendous improvement with NAET. I am off of ADVAIR, Singulair, and Nexium. I can take vitamins for the first time in my life without getting stomach aches and other nasty symptoms. I feel better than I have ever felt. It has helped with my neuropathy, reflux, asthma, insulin resistance, etc.
I hope this helps.
