Atropine--Day Nine
I was trying to read something last night and got really frustrated. Everything is still just a little off. The funny thing is I can see things at arm's length and can do things like the computer, but can't do normal reading. And I still can't drive.
We went somewhere two nights ago and that was really strange. Lights at night when you're dilated....huge halos around everything.
My regular eye doctor keeps his atropine in the refrigerator. Away from the other drops. He said they both have red tops on them. Gee.............guess you could make a mistake. ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T LOOK AT THE LABEL BEFORE YOU PUT SOMETHING IN SOMEONE'S EYES!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Elizabeth, I've been reading your blog and can sympathise with you about allergies.
I noticed that you mentioned you eat soy and I thought I'd better send you these links:
http://www.mercola.com/2002/jun/8/soy.htm and
http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/index.html
I really recommend you read as much of the rest of http://www.westonaprice.org/ as you can. Since following their dietary principles combined with a low-GI, moderate carbohydrate (under 70g), RDA protein, high fat diet, my immune system is much stronger. I used to get sick four or six times a year, but now I haven't been sick in over a year, and my asthma has cleared up. Apparently saturated fat is very important for the health of the lungs and the immune system, and I guess I wasn't getting enough. Whilst I still have some allergies (some cleared up by themselves), my reaction to dust, pollen etc is much milder and I cope and recover much faster. This isn't even a special allergy diet, just one based on documented principles of "native nutrition". Hope it might help you cope better. Emma.
