I want to get a cat
I want to help the hurricane victims some more... I am trying to find a way to adopt a cat that has been displaced, someone that needs a home. My cat died a little while ago... and I miss having a cat so much. I've had cats my whole life.I'm looking into the local humane society too. I need a sweet, cuddly kitten or cat to hold in my lap. I miss that so much.

I think it's great that you want to help out a Katrina survivor with 4 paws. Here where they've put thousands of refugees, our Hunae Society is caring for animals from Katrina and posting their pics on some website(?). If no one claims an animal within 4 weeks, then they are available for adoption.
And you know that any pet adopted from a good shelter is helping out and you could get a kitten.
