Weird head pain, and other stuff...
I've had a pain in my head all day. It's not really a headache. The pain starts in the bottom of my head/top of my neck, just on the left side, and travels up. If I touch it the pain radiates over to the front of my head. It hurts to turn my head either way, or move my head up or down. It seems to be getting worse, so I've just taken a couple of painkillers to help me sleep, because it kept waking me up last night. I expect it's nothing, but it's an odd sort of pain. More of a muscular thing maybe? Can you get arthritis in the back of your head? It doesn't feel like a trapped nerve, or like I've 'slept funny'.
Otherwise, things are ok. I've been quite careful about what I've eaten, and taken 4 loperamide and my tummy has been ok-ish. Not great, but not much pain so it's been bearable. The eczema is slightly better. The ointment has helped, but I'm only putting it on the worst places. My mood has been pretty much ok today really. I've been watching a tv programme with a woman in the last stages of cancer trying to keep going for her son to recover from leukaemia. It puts things into perspective, doesn't it?

Hi, I know how you feel. Although there maybe no comparison but my mother suffers from these symptoms and the doctor said it was arthritis in the neck.
So, yes arthritis does manifest itself in that area. She has to do light exercises so that the whole area doesn't fuse together.
Hope it helps .

Hi, the right side of my head hurts, but I do not have a headache. I am going on the sixth day of this and am getting worried. Its like the right side of my head is getting pinched every five to six seconds. Do you have any suggestions before I call my doctor. I am in great health, on no medication. I'm, 5' 5" and 124 lbs. Have no health problems, as of yet and will be 62 in a few weeks. Thank you.

I am 39 male, and I have had a slight pain on my right side of my head that is obviously present when I press on the right side of my head in the area. I am in great health and work out quite often for over 25 years. The pain has been there 3 weeks and hasn't really kept me from doing anything and no headaches are present. Don't know what else to do. There are no lumps and I know I haven't been hit there so... not sure what gives?
