Kylie Minogue to Publish Breast Cancer Diary
Pop star Kylie Minogue has been recording her breast cancer experiences in a diary and plans to publish them in an upcoming book.
"Kylie knows she is in a position of influence and wants to use that positively by writing this diary. She believes that by sharing her experiences she can provide encouragement to those in a similar situation. Victoria Gotti Exaggerated Breast Cancer Claim
Mafia daughter Victoria Gotti may have exaggerated her breast cancer diagnosis for publicity reasons. Her publicist Matthew Rich has quit over the stunt. The New York Post's front page headline today read "Grow Up, Gotti". Apparently she is saying she had "pre-cancerous cells". On Good Morning America, she said: "What I have is considered by most to be cancer. Noninvasive cancer." (E! Online)

Melissa Etheridge Beats Breast Cancer
In an interview that aired Wednesday night on the syndicated TV show Extra, the "Lucky" crooner announced that she has made a full recovery since undergoing a successful lumpectomy last October after being diagnosed with the disease and being forced to scrap a concert tour. (E!Online)
Editor's Comment: We can't think of a better way to kick off our Breast Cancer blog than by posting the fantastic news of Etheridge's recovery. She's been a positive voice in the fight against breast cancer and has hopefully inspired women around the world to do breast self-exams on a regular basis in order to catch the disease in its early stages.
