Digital Mammograms for Younger Women

Newer mammograms that allow doctors to use digital imaging to help spot cancer are better than standard X-rays for young women and those with dense breasts, but not for most post-menopausal women, a landmark study concludes. (MSNBC)

Mammograms Boost Survival

Women whose breast cancer is detected by a screening mammogram have a better prognosis than those whose cancer is found symptomatically, even if the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, a new study suggests. (excite.com)
