Week 9 and start of cleanse
Well, the reason it has been a while since I wrote is that Ross and I got married on the 24th October and have been on honeymoon in Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. We ate raw up 'til the wedding day and even took our own raw seaweed rolls but did share a bit of the wedding cake with the guests. We then went on honeymoon for 9 days and had made the decision that we would include some cooked food to make things easier and to enjoy the experience completely.
We managed to eat between 50% - 80% raw each day and had a wonderful honeymoon. We did notice though the return of aching joints, feeling tired in the afternoon and the return of food cravings, more so me than Ross and mainly because of the candida. We also noticed that we ate more and felt uncomfortable and that the food was heavy and sat in our stomachs for longer. We didn''t realise how used to the raw food we had been getting. We were both looking forward to getting back to the 100% raw and now are starting on a 4 -5 week cleanse to clear mucoid plaque out of our intestinal tract and colon.
We are following Richard Anderson's regime and the herbs for it are arriving this week. We are combining it with Gabriel Cousens cleanup diet which we will be on for 6 months and involves having no fruit or high glycemic vegetables. These were the only guidelines I found for dealing with the Candida from a raw food point of view as neither Victoria Butenko or Alicia Cohen replied to my email requests on how to deal with Candida - even though they had both replied quickly to other emails regarding book orders and followup. I think it must be a difficult problem to get a handle on.
Ross and I are booked in for colonics in 2 and a half weeks with another follow-up one in 2 weeks after that. The colonics are excellent for speeding up the cleansing process. We are taking okra capsules until the Arise and Shine herbs arrive and a few days before the wedding they shifted some mucoid plaque in me. We were both excited about it and photographed it. We are hoping to get a lot more than that. Once we introduced the cooked foods in Queenstown it stopped the shifting of the plaque even though we were still on the okra capsules. In Richard Anderson's book it seems that the average is anywhere from 30 feet to 40 feet of plaque at one cleanse, so bring it on. Who needs that stuff in you. He also talks about releasing old negative emotions that actually get trapped with the plaque and that once released the feelings of love and joy flow more freely. Can't wait.
Starting weight for the cleanse is 65 kilos for me - don't know what Ross is at the moment, will have to weigh him tomorrow. See ya later.

I have noticed all sorts of healthful benefits from drinking Tahitian Noni Juice, an all-natural healthy beverage. The noni fruit has been used by native islanders for thousands of years because of its well known health benefits.

Hello i am about 1 1/2 months in to healing my candida and am finding out new stuff everyday. i wonder if you could update on how you are doing now with your candida. i am just becoming aware of colonics and raw eating as a part of my regime... and am so overwhelmed because i am already concentrating SO MUCH of my already low-energy to my diet and douches (for my Bacterial Vaginosis) and supplements. i would love to hear more of your story for encouragement and advice!
i hope to hear from you,
peace and healing,
hannah

For more information on the benefits of a cleanse, Buy and read Kevin Trudeau's book, Natural Cures "They" (FDA and FTC) Don't want you to Know About. It is very revealing and informative to say the least.
To your good health,
Roger

all of you with hard to deal with candida, may have "Systemic Candida" you should research it, and realize it will be something you have to deal with for a long while, but eating 100% raw, and having an herbal cleanse every other month, or one month a season is a good way to keep it under control without limiting nutrients from fruits you should eat. i know some good cleanses if you want to ask, just know its a commitment to keep yourself healthy with candida, but its not a big deal if you just balance it throughout your life.

Congradulations on your marriage, and on being 100% raw.Candida/fungas is very difficult to treat The best antimicrobial that wouldnt violate your rawness would be raw garlic.Eating and juicing works wonders, stinks so good.Wheatgrass juice is low suger and super energising and cleansing. The Fungas Link,by Doug A. Kaufmann may be helpful.Keep up the good fight, may vibrant health be yours.

I saw a YouTube clip by Douglas Graham on candida and it kind of blew my mind. He believes:
1. candida is a life saving microbe that eats sugar when we're overloaded. When this blooming period is over it dies off quickly.
2. However, if your cells are coated with fat it hinders the ability of cells to absorb sugar/glucose/energy so the sugar stays in the bloodstream and the Candida have a permafeast.
Lower the fat & the Candida bloom dies ff. That's what I got out of it and I'm about to try it.
