Ive been eating cilantro since I was a little girl, I actually just got done eating it tonite for dinner and thought I would see what benefits me. My father is from Iran and we just about eat it with everything from feta cheese and cucumbers wrapped in Pita bread to stews and rice. Its delicious!
I too love cilantro. Yet, I think it is somewhat of an acquired taste. The first time I had it a little bit was too much, but now I take dried cilantro out of a jar and chew the way men in the old days chewed tobacco. I think it does have health benefits. I can certainly tell when I have been chewing it and when I have not. Thanks for an interesting article.
I put my cilantro in a blender and blend it with frozen mangos, banana, strawberries, and one cup of water. It makes a wonderful smoothie great for when you have any digestive issues. Takes care of heart burn, gas, and nausea for me.
