Castor Oil for Psoriasis
Last updated on October 9, 2011
Many skin problems, including psoriasis, can be improved by using castor oil on a regular basis. In fact, many people have found that castor oil is one of the best and natural ways to treat this condition. Be sure to use cold pressed castor oil or Jamaican black castor oil for the best results. Here’s how to use castor oil for psoriasis.
1. Right before bed, gently cleanse the skin affected by psoriasis and dry it with a towel.
2. Liberally apply the castor oil to the affected area and rub it in a little bit to help the skin absorb the oil.
3. Let the oil soak into the skin overnight. You may consider placing plastic over the area to avoid getting the oil on your bedding.
4. In the morning, gently wipe the area to remove any excess oil.
Follow these instructions each night for the best results. This treatment plan has not been researched, so there are no studies to back up the effectiveness of the treatment. However, many people have reported positive experiences after using castor oil for psoriasis on a regular basis.
