E. Coli Found Near California Spinach Farms

Investigators have found E. coli in eight fecal samples taken near two of the farms that are believed to have been possible sources of the recent spinach contamination.

It will be several more days, however, before investigators know whether the type of E. coli found matches the strain of the bacteria that since the end of August has sickened 193 people in 26 states and Canada, and killed at least one elderly woman in Wisconsin.

This is so bad. How can we know that what we are eating that are from mostly farms are safe from all those bacteria.
