Hibiscus Tea Recipe | How to Make Organic Hibiscus Tea

Filed under Tea | Comments (2)

While you can purchase hibiscus tea bags in stores, it can be fun to make your own hibiscus tea using dried hibiscus flowers. Just make sure the flowers you use are organic. You don't want a cupful of pesticides to take away from the incredible health benefits of the hibiscus flower.

Ingredients
4 cups water
2 Tablespoons dried organic hibiscus flowers
1 cinnamon stick (optional)

Directions
Put a kettle with the water on the stove to boil.

Put the hibiscus flowers in a pot. Add the cinnamon stick if desired. You can also add other spices if you like.

When the water comes to a boil, pour it into the pot with the flowers and spices.

Let steep for at least five minutes.

Strain through a tea strainer or cheesecloth and let cool.

Pour into tea cups and enjoy!
