Juicer Reviews and Comparisons

Filed under Juicing | Comments (6)

Just as I posted my experiences with the Omega 8005 Juicer in my last post, I'd love to hear from people who've tried other juicers. If you've tried a certain juicer, post it as a comment here so we can create a page of juicer reviews to help people decide which one to buy. Whether you've tried just one or you've tried several and are a juicing expert, your opinions can help others who are looking to purchase a juicer. I'd love to get opinions on the Breville, Omega, Juiceman, Jack LaLanne, Green Star, and other juicer brands.

We also have the Omega 8005 Juicer (chrome). When I did all the research I found that it was recommended a lot and I wanted a masticating juicer. It's easy to use, not hard to clean up or reassemble, gets all the juice out of the produce, and it's small and "pretty". We leave ours sitting out so the size and the way it looked were important to me.

I know someone who has the Breville Juice Fountain Elite and I didn't like it at all. I thought it was big, clunky and "ugly". Why would anyone want something so large? Why would you buy a centrifugal juicer and lose all that juice if you can get a masticating juicer? (Masticating is more expensive but if you can afford it it's the way to go. Also, if you're juicing to cure a disease I've read you should go with a triturating juicer.)

But no matter which juicer you buy, juicing is better than not juicing!!! Yes, it is a lot of work, but so worth it!

I've seen the Breville Juice Fountain as well and thought it was enormous. You're right to call it clunky, Elizabeth! Also, it didn't seem any easier to clean than the Omega 8005 juicer.

I have had Champion juicer for years and absolutely love it. When I was preparing to buy a juicer, I did a lot of reading and it seemed to be one of the most highly recommended juicers. And, I have never regretted that decision! I think my juicer might outlast me. ha.
