Natural Treatments for Acne: Zinc
Filed under Skin and Diet | Comments (3)
Many people wonder what foods they should cut out of their diets in order to clear up acne. Perhaps they should ask what foods and nutrients they should add to their diets instead.
One mineral that has shown great promise in promoting clear skin is zinc. It is one of the best natural treatments for acne, but many people aren't aware of it, nor are they aware they are zinc deficient.
Good news for meat eaters: the top food sources of zinc are meats like beef, chicken, oysters, liver, and lamb. For vegetarians and vegans, peanuts, peanut butter, and legumes are good sources. Vegan raw foodists, who do not consume cooked beans or legumes and often do not eat peanuts, may have the hardest time getting enough zinc, since the zinc in fruit and vegetables is not as readily absorbed as from other sources. In these cases, zinc supplements may be the only option.
Here's a great page on zinc from WholeHealthMD.com for more information on zinc and how important it is not only for the skin, but every part of the body.

Thanks for information
Yes, it is good news for meet eaters for treating acne naturally. But apart from non-vegetarians there are also many options for vegetarians because some food sources like peanuts, peanut butter and legumes are good for natural acne treatment. Most importantly these are not so expensive and can be found in kitchen also.
