Whole Wheat Pasta

There's a great article in the Washington Post today about whole wheat pasta. The author and chef Davide Megna try several different brands of whole wheat pasta and review them.

The author writes about Megna's reaction after testing several brands:

"No more eating," said chef Davide Megna of Amici Miei in Rockville, laying down his fork and looking a bit queasy.

It cracked me up because I myself have tried various whole wheat pastas and the results ranged from having to spit it out because it was inedible to one that was edible when smothered in a lot of sauce.

The article makes some good suggestions on brands to try so I might have to give wheat pasta another go. Even though I'm not eating much pasta these days, it will be a fun experiment.
