Breathing Guru, Acupuncture for Cerebral Palsy, Kicking the Habit's Just a Laser Away?

Millions of people around the world are breathing better thanks to the sudarshan kriya breathing and meditation technique of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. It involves rhythmic breathing that is supposed to rid the body of stress and toxins. Shankar has become so popular in the west that he has even visited President Bush in the Oval Office.

Chinese researchers have had success in improving symptoms of cerebral palsy using tongue acupuncture on children affected by this disease.

Some practitioners are using a new technique called cold-laser therapy to help smokers kick the habit. Research into its effectiveness has not been done, though some people who have had the treatment claim it works.
