Urban Lyme Disease, Autoimmune Drugs Linked to Tuberculosis, Genes and Hepatitis C

Even New York City residents are not safe from ticks and tick-borne diseases such as Lyme disease and should protect themselves.

Drugs to treat rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases have been linked to tuberculosis cases in California.

"Genes that take the brakes off the immune system may help explain why some people essentially cure themselves of liver-destroying hepatitis C, research suggests."
