Nine Months This Week

Here's the nine month update:

Things are great.

No twinges, no zingers and no more swelly belly.

Here's what the incision look like these days. View image

Additional photos from earlier here - Week 16, Week 4-6, Week 3 and Week 2.

As far as I know my hormones are working perfectly (well, just like they did before surgery). Sadly, some of my cyclical acne has returned, but I greet that with the knowledge that it means that ovaries are functioning just like the good old days.

I just read over your blog from beginning to end, haven't looked at all the pictures, just beginning and end, I'd say (of course standing outside of you and your feelings) that the incision was placed better than I would have thought. It's larger than I would have thought though. I'm glad you're ovulating well, and I hope that you'll be able to have healthy children when you so decide to do so. Some of your posts I glossed though so I'm not sure if you're exact feelings on children. I'm 42 years old and still no children. I want to get pregnant and have a child but my excess weight keeps me from really working on that and the fact my sweetheart lives in another state. Anyways I had an aunt and sister with fibroids. My sister hasn't gotten pregnant yet and now her marriage is on the skids, but my aunt did have 3 successful pregnancies 2 when she was younger than 17 and one when she was in her late twenties. Anyways both of their feminine complications subsided greatly after the fibroids were removed, and my aunt actually had a hysterectomy a couple years ago. These heady dicisions are really terrifying to make! I applaud your strength in dealing with it and your willingness to share so much with us! God Bless and keep you healthier with each passing day!
