Growing Garlic

There’s an article in the Centre Daily Times today about growing garlic. According to the article, late September and early October are the ideal times to plant garlic.

The garlic plant is frost hardy, and if planted in late September or October, it may have tops showing above the soil and be well rooted by November. Garlic will start growing again after the snow melts in the spring, and the crop will mature in August.
