If you don’t know how to peel a kiwi, it can take a lot of time and some of the fruit is wasted because it comes off with the skin. Here’s how to peel a kiwi in four easy steps.
1. Hold the kiwi sideways with one hand, and use a small paring knife to cut off both ends of the kiwi. Cut about 1/4 – 1/2 inch from each end.
2. Use a large dinner spoon and insert it into one of the cut ends between the flesh of the fruit and the skin.
3. Gently twist the kiwi around with the spoon just under the skin and work the spoon around the entire circumference of the skin releasing the fruit from the skin.
4. Slide the center out by squeezing the loosened skin and the kiwi fruit will slide out of the other end. Discard the skin.
