The Sonoma Diet is one of the latest weight loss books to sweep the nation. There’s an article about it in yesterday’s Washington Post. I haven’t read the book but I can see why the premise is so appealing to people. However, in the end it doesn’t seem much different than other fad diets that promise significant weight loss in the first ten days of major food restriction. You don’t need a book to tell you that drastically cutting calories will enable you to lose weight. It does look like there are some good recipes in the book that were developed by chefs at the Culinary Institute of America. At any rate, check out the article for yourself: (Wine Country Diet, Sans Grape).
