Ashlee Simpson Flirted with Anorexia

Pop star Ashlee Simpson admitted she had a "minor" eating disorder when she was 11 and training to become a ballerina at the School of American Ballet.

Simpson tells Cosmopolitan magazine, "I was around a lot of girls with eating disorders, and I actually had a minor one myself ... It was about six months of not eating too much at all. I was 11 and five feet two and about 70 pounds... My parents stepped in and made me eat. That really helped a lot." (

Felicity Huffman Battled Anorexia

Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman says she battled both bulimia and anorexia from her teens into her 20s.

The bulimia evolved into anorexia. Huffman's weight dropped to 98 pounds, and her periods stopped.

With her family growing increasingly concerned, she sought the help of a therapist. At that time, she viewed herself — as she told the world in her Emmy acceptance speech — as "a chunky 22-year-old with really big pink glasses and a bad perm." (USA Today)
