New Year Update

No hot flashes and no sex drive! So that's the good and the bad news for the new year.

It has been awhile since I posted but there really is not much new on the hormone front. I'm still using the Pro-Gest cream. Day 1-7 is 1/8 t. in the morning, and the rest of the month is 1/8 t. in the morning and 1/4 t. at night. I tried doing none on the first 7 days but didn't feel too well so added a little in (after reading what Dr. Wright said) and that seems to be fine.

I'm feeling pretty well. No hot flashes, but the progesterone so far hasn't done anything for my sex drive. I'll be doing some new saliva tests soon and will see where all the levels are now.

I had a complete hysterectomy in April 2004 due to some problems... I was only 44 at the time. In my efforts to avoid synthetic hormones because I have cancer in my family, I found the miracle solution. I can't believe every woman in the country isn't on it before, during, and after menopause...!
It's bioidential hormone pellet therapy. I go in about once every 4-6 months and get my tiny pellets inserted in my rump cheek. The doctor does blood work initially to see what my levels are and then makes up the pellets accordingly and then he makes a tiny incision in my rump and inserts the pellets. Then he pressure-bandages the incision which heals in about 3 days and I'm good for about 4 months (in my case). It improves my sex drive, eliminates night sweats, sleeplessness, joint pain, migraines, etc. It's wonderful!! I even have my 67 yr. old father and 55 year old step-mother on it.. They love it as well. The quarterly procedure takes only about 5 minutes and I'm done until the next time. It costs me about $250 each time which insurance sometimes covers a small portion of. Well worth it!
