The Kids are Growing

Something fun has been happening. Some of the inside kids have been growing and learning new things. Our therapist has been working hard with them. They talk about a lot of hard things. But they have been doing good things too. Our therapist takes them on walks and they go exploring. Finding turtles and fish and waterfalls, having ice cream and treats for their hard work. The kids are doing things like working in reading and math workbooks for fun. They are able to talk about really hard, scary things not just with our T but also inside with each other. They're able to draw pictures of things that happened and talk about them with our therapist. But probably the biggest change has been in Jadie who used to not talk or walk. Now she jabbers all day long and the other day rumor has it she climbed up a water fall in the creek they were exploring. She also likes to catch bugs.
It has been over three years since Sharon dumped us. But we're finally getting over that... even though there is still a big piece inside that aches from it. Maybe we'll never get over it completely. What she did hurt really badly. But it is so nice to see the progress that the inside kids have made in just 1.5 years of seeing our new therapist.
